Notte Sento: Rome Scooter Ride Short Film

notte sento scooter couple rome

Notte Sento. That's italian. Literally it means something like "Night Feeling", but in this case it's a bit of an Italian play on words as Notte Sento sounds a bit like Non Ti Sento, or "I Can't Hear You." This video is the story of a beautiful deaf/mute girl who's train to Milan is cancelled so she must spend the night in Rome. In true italian fashion, she meets a boy. Actually, he's much more than just a boy, he's a rider, and the two of them begin their scooter ride across Rome overnight adventure.

This is a must see, even for the manliest of manly men, and the most sentimental alike. Check it out. You're guaranteed to want to ride a scooter or motorcycle through Rome at any moment.

Does Honda’s CBR-125R Sale Do More Harm Than Good?

KYMCO Quannon Naked 125i

Honda has dropped the price of the CBR-125R from $3,499 to $2,299. That's a $1,200 reduction that many Canadian would-be motorcycle enthusiasts are excited about. The 2012 Honda CBR-125R has come a long way from the first generation 2007 Honda CBR-125R we reviewed years ago. That was the same bike that my ex-girlfriend was ticketed on for doing 5 km/hr over the speed limit by Toronto Police. This new CBR has been redesigned, with a little more weight, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing on the highway, nor are the thicker tires.

While many will be welcome a lightweight and beginner-friendly motorcycle at a great pricepoint, we need to look at the vehicles that we aren't seeing, and that we likely won't be seeing in Canada any time soon, because of it. When it comes to the Canadian motorcycle industry, does Honda's CBR-125R do more harm than it does good?

Motorcycle Body Paint, Turning Humans in Motorcycles

motorcycle body paint

YouMotorcycle follows some very cool motorcyclists on Twitter. It's a great way of finding out what's new and exciting in your field of interest.

When we think about it, motorcycles and the performing arts don't always go hand in hand. Something about running a motorcycle on a stage for too long killing dancers. Imagine my surprise when the most interesting motorcycle-related tweet I came across in the YouMotorcycle Twitter feed was from "G", the city of Toronto's top professional contortionist, and a non-motorcyclist (boo! hiss!).

She tweeted a post from Fstoppers, a video blog. The Progressive International Motorcycle show needed some promotional material. They teamed up with i.d.e.a. and with the help of performers and body paint artists began transforming humans into motorcycles.

Naked Kawasaki Ninja 250R Streetfighter

naked kawasaki ninja 250 streetfighter

Yesterday CMGOnline mentioned a rumor about Kawasaki planning a naked Kawasaki Ninja 250R or naked Kawasaki Ninja 300R... My own thoughts? I'm thinking more downscaled ER6n... turned ER250C, as the prototype model name on tmcblog seems to suggest.

Are they real? Who knows. The public is definitely seeking more of a naked, streetfighter look. The morning after a night of philandering downtown I found a a visitor parked next to my Suzuki Boulevard M50 on Front St. in downtown Toronto. See pics below.

How to Stop a Motorcycle Show-Off

motorcycle show off

Not so long ago, a young woman who's boyfriend just crashed on a motorcycle asked the internet, "Internet, how do I stop my boyfriend, a motorcyclist, from showing off on his motorcycle?" She asked a little late though, as her boyfriend was already in the hospital, the end result of having under-valued a corner, and over-valued his own skills in approaching it on a group ride.

Countless riders chimed in on the evils of showing off on your motorcycle. Only one dared to stand up for the nation of loud and proud motorcycle show-offs. Naturally, that one voice was my own.

Motorcycle Contortionists Photoshoot: Custom Bike

Mark Gornik at the Motorcycle Contortionists Photoshoot

The last post on our Motorcycle Contortionists Photoshoot we heard from G who told us exactly what it meant to be contortionist, and how the shoot came to be. If you haven't seen the pics already, take a look. G's performed internationally including as far away prestigious events in Rome, Italy for the National Ballet of Milan. She and fellow performer Dani took their talents of flexibility and strength and got to work at bending on, around, and all over motorcycles.

One of Mark Gornik's motorcycles, a rigid framed Harley-Davidson Sportster based chopper was a centerpiece for our contortionists. Mark has been building hot rods and motorcycles since he was sixteen years old and was willing to let the girls put his steel to the test.
