Battery Tender Junior Limited Time Sale (42% Off – US only)

Sure, it might be riding season, and maybe that’s why this deal is so sweet (42% off), but it’s never too late to pick up a motorcycle battery charger. Especially one with a five year warranty.

The reality is that battery tenders are one of very few things you can buy for your motorcycle which pay for themselves. Don’t believe me, wait a year or two until you have to replace that battery you neglect each winter. At $23 instead of almost $40, buying a quality, reputable battery charger is a no-brainer.

With over 7,000 reviews, the Battery Tender Junior averaged 4.7 out of 5 stars. I’d have to agree. It just works, exactly as it should, all of the time, and is quite simple. Anyone could use it. The downside is that this basic, entry-level motorcycle battery charger doesn’t have more advanced features. For example, for an extra $27 (twice the cost) you can buy an CTEK 3300 battery charger which claims to also desulfate your battery, resulting in a longer lifespan, allegedly.

Nevertheless, at $23, the Battery Tender Jr does the job, and does it well. I don’t recommend it for car use, as the 0.75 amp charging rate is designed for smaller batteries, such as those found on motorcycles, and in that area this battery charger excels.

Remember: never use a car battery charger on a motorcycle battery. Chargers designed for car batteries use much higher charging rates than what your motorcycle battery is designed to withstand. Think of it like cooking on your oven’s highest setting: you’re going to burn your battery. Get a charger designed specifically for small batteries, or one with a mode selection, or charging rate selection function.
