Motorcycle Roads in Ontario

Top Ontario Motorcycle RoutesOntario has some fantastic motorcycle roads. YouMotorcycle‘s page on Forks of the Credit Road was featured in one of the Province of Ontario’s Motorcycle Touring blog, among the rest of the Top 10 Motorcycle Roads in Ontario.

Other rides and roads included: The Zen Road, Ontario’s South Coast, the Muskoka Area, HWY 129, HWY 11, Georgian Bay, Algonquin Park, Lake Superior, and more.

The variety of geography covered is the strength of this page. It reflects the multitude of ecological variance we have in Ontario, on some of the province’s most historical roadways. The rider has actually travelled these roads and much of Ontario via motorcycle. I had the chance to meet with Mike and see his bike at the 2011 Toronto International Motorcycle Show. We talked about his plans for the upcoming season which will include lots of great video content. I look forward to seeing more great motorcycle content from Ontario Tourism.

You can read it all at Ontario’s Top Ten Motorcycle Routes.

About YouMotorcycle

YouMotorcycle is a lifestyle motorcycle blog to be appreciated by those who see motorcycling as a lifestyle and not simply a hobby, sport, or method of transportation. Most of the posts on the site are written by past and present motorcycle industry staff. We remain fiercely independent, innovative, and unconventional. Our goal is to encourage more people to enjoy the world's greatest outdoor sport by helping new riders get started and inspiring current riders to get out more. We motorcycle, do You?

Bikefest 500 – Do you have what it takes?

    June 21st, 2015 7-8 AM Start – 7-8PM end.

Imagine riding a 500 mile loop on some of the best riding roads we have in central Ontario, now add to that a time limit of 12 hours just to qualify for the rights to even buy the patch!

If you are looking for that one ride you gotta do this year! This would be it. You start at one of the 9 entry points and loop your way around and back out at the same entry point. This ride qualifies with the Iron Butt Association.
Starting Points: Barrie, Angus, Stayner, Collingwood, Waubaushene, Bracebridge, Bancroft, Haliburton, Orillia

M2 Exit on a Scooter

M2 Exit Test for 125cc Motorcycles or 150cc Scooter in Ontario

In Ontario we have a three-class motorcycle licensing system. There is a beginner class (M1 - written test), an intermediate class (M2 - riding test), and finally your full M class license. Unfortunately, the vehicle-specific requirements, definition of vehicles, and options available get a little blurry in the bureaucracy, and many small displacement motorcycle and cruiser riders are left in the mess

... but don't worry, that's what YouMotorcycle is here for.
