Valentino Rossi, the Doctor, Moto GP’s most beloved meets his replacement in the future of Team Yamaha… Motobot.
Motobot uses sensors to know when to brake, shift, and lean. Motobot can not only ride an “unmodified” Yamaha R1, but he can even go at race track speeds. The goal is for Motobot to do 200 km/hr on a race track by 2017 and eventually to beat Rossi himself.
Well, they say unmodified, but the R1 seems to have a whole carriage surrounding it. So for now, humans will stay on top of the Moto GP podium… but really, it’s only a matter of time.
