What distinguishes a good t-shirt from a really great t-shirt? Is it the material used? The thread count? The stitching? The cut, fit, or shape? Is it the colour, it’s brightness, and how long it holds true? Is it the way you look in it or just the way you see yourself in it? Is it the way the fabric feels on your skin or the way you feel in the fabric? We look at the Lovebone Apparel Bad to the Bone biker-approved t-shirt.Read More »
Heat can be much more of a problem for motorcyclists than just a matter of physical discomfort. Heat stroke can bring on dizziness, light-headedness, weakness, cramps, nausea, confusion, disorientation. It can even bring on seizures and knock you out. To make matters worse, heat stroke sneaks up on motorcyclists. Motorcyclists can keep bring their core temperature down the fastest by exposing the places they lose the most heat from to elements of coolness such as water or air.Read More »
I would like to introduce you to the UK-based company that offers a solution for those of us who's jacket vents don't provide enough airflow. Ventz offers a simple solution to cooling issues; a pair of hard plastic/rubber objects you slide into your jacket sleeves at the cuffs, that clip to your jacket to avoid falling out or sliding down.Read More »
I got an email this week from Amazon. Two things struck me as odd about this. First off, I don't think I've ever gotten emails from Amazon before. Secondly, they sent me an email entirely about Harley-Davidson books. Quite strange. I'm not the biggest Harley-Davidsonista out there, I admire them as much and as little as I do every other brand, but I saw the coffee-table value in a couple of these books.
If you're like me and think the best accessory for a living room that already has a big screen tv and a dog is a nice hardcover book about motorcycles, this post is for you.
Inspired by bikerMetric I decided to take a little time to look up some biker B Movies. Sure enough a quick search on Netflix came up with the 1968 flick Angels from Hell among others. I hit play and within minutes my eyes were filled with drum brakes and 3 foot tall sissy bars. Rock on!Read More »

- I have an absurdly large nose. OK, it's not that bad, but still...
What makes a motorcycle vest? The patches earned at motorcycle rallies stitched to it? The insect anatomy speckling it at the end of a long ride? The thickness and quality of the leather cut? Is there more to it than just that?
What does your motorcycle vest even mean to you? Is it a lifestyle statement written out on a sheet of leather? A giant neon sign alerting the world there's a motorcyclist approaching from four and a half miles away? Is it a fashion statement for you? Does a brand name mean anything when we're talking about motorcycle vests?
A lot of questions rolled through my mind as I unpacked the Ed Hardy motorcycle vest sent to me by Motorcycle House. How did I really feel about this? It wasn't exactly something you'd see on Sons of Anarchy, but then again, maybe that was a good thing.
Back in 2011 I featured a world tour video project called Flake and Flames, by a motorcyclist named Jesper Bram. Bram is famous among motorcycle bloggers as the owner of Helmet Hair Motorcycle blog. Helmet Hair was once the coolest motorcycle blog on the internet, so I knew that Jesper's movie would be equally if not exponentially more awesome.Read More »
Do you have the Harley-Davidson socks, glasses, underwear, jacket and still can't get enough? Well search no longer as you can now listen to music while advertising for your favorite brand! In all seriousness, I had the option of which set of headphones I wanted to review and I selected these ones based on their looks alone. Opinions are like butts though - everyone has one. If these weren’t for you I’d recommend you visit Fuseplusyou.com and find a set that tickles your fancy. The question is: are they any good?Read More »
