I’ve been actively avoiding talking about the COVID19 virus. It’s not because I’m a flat earth conspiracy-theory naysayer who thinks that the whole virus is a part of some evil agenda, or because I think that motorcycle publications have no business discussing global affairs or politics, or because Google/YouTube was demonetizing anything to do with the virus.
I’ve been actively avoiding talking about COVID19 because for a lot of us, motorcycles are a source good in our lives. For some, motorcycles are the only source of good in their lives right now.
Motorcycles allow us freedom. They help us build confidence in ourselves and trust in our friends. They help us to make meaningful connections and build communities.
I’ve been blessed with the ability to share so much with all of you over the last ten years running YouMotorcycle, and more and more I see you guys helping each other out in the comments section without me. You always puts a smile on my face. I’ve left the virus off of YouMotorcycle because I want motorcycles (and motorcycle content) to always be a source of smiles (not frowns) for all of you.
YouMotorcycle’s step-by-step guides get thousands of pageviews every month, and this is probably the best and shortest one I’ll ever make.
Here’s How To Surive Quarantine – In One Easy Step
Step 1: Find ways to do the things that make you happy
Ride it. Wrench on it. Doesn’t matter. If you’re smiling, you’re doing it right.
If that doesn’t work, be sure to read this article I wrote called What to do When You Can’t Ride Your Motorcycle. It’s four things you can do to help scratch the itch when you want to get out and ride your motorcycle but you can’t. It’s actually a lot more than four, but, you’ll see…
Well, I do have a German Shepherd Dog! Sadly, the similarity definitely ends there! I do not possess anything like the necessary riding skills and even if I did, I cannot see the Mrs allowing me to bounce my SuperGlide round the house like that! Not even the garden!
Anyway, the bike is stuck at the dealership’s workshop as it was in for repair since a certain uninsured “Lady” who was late for Church, rear-ended me on it last September of course!
I almost gotten rode off the road by someone rushing to get to church three summers ago. Good times! Hope your recovery is coming along well enough Mitch!
PS: You only get those skills by trying… but I suggest you try when the missus is gone out somewhere haha
Think the tyre tracks might give the game away when she gets back?! Haha!
Hate to sound contrarian (no I don’t), but when I brush my teeth on my Venture, I like to be doing about 130 kliks down the QEW.
That way, I don’t have to rinse. Just SMILE! 😁
Messy for the guy behind though!
